Grant Description
Grants to USA secondary schools for career development programs in the construction industry. Successful applicants will administer career technical education programs that enable students to earn industry-recognized certifications and receive training in technical skills and building trade fundamentals.

HBI continues to expand its trades training programs into secondary schools across the country.

Schools to Skills grant funding and awards are made available annually to eligible applicants. The grant program allows secondary schools to create or enhance a career technical education program using HBI’s nationally recognized, patented Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) curriculum and industry-approved certifications.

PACT is one of only three national curricula recognized and approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and many state departments of education. PACT is designed to be hands-on and competency-based and aligns with the STEM education model.

The program strengthens connections to the local building industry by working closely with the National Association of Home Builders and its 700 local and state associations.
