The serves the minority entrepreneurial community in Arizona with a focus on Black and Latinx small business owners. It provides support to Spanish-preferred program attendees who make up approximately 75% of attendees. The provides business readiness programs and training that helps small businesses advance equitable economic recovery increase generational wealth and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Arizona. The organization has launched over 1,700 small businesses and served over 20K program attendees in the last 10 years. The has created rapid response resources for small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic such as the CARES Act Readiness Program Reopen Safely Program and Going Green and Going Smart Program. These programs are currently offered online and promoted through state and local economic development agencies and media.

PRESERVATION and PRESENTATION OF NATIVE AMERICAN ARTIFACTS

SEARCH (NS/S) WAS FOUNDED IN 1983 IN RESPONSE TO THE DOCUMENTED AND PROBABLE LOSS OF TRADITIONAL AGRICULTURAL CROP DIVERSITY OF THE U.S. SOUTHWEST AND NORTHWEST MEXICO. THE SEED THAT NS/S STEWARDS INCLUDES TRADITIONAL VARIETIES OF CORN, BEANS, AND SQUASH, AS WELL AS HERBS AND WILD FOODS LONG CONSUMED IN THE AREA. EACH CROP VARIETY IN THE NS/S SEED BANK HAS BEEN GENETICALLY ADAPTING TO ARID SOILS AND CONDITIONS FOR HUNDREDS, OR EVEN THOUSANDS, OF YEARS. ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE ONLINE STORE AND THROUGH OUR FREE SEED ACCESS PROGRAMS. MORE THAN 18,000 SEED PACKETS WERE DONATED VIA THESE PROGRAMS LAST YEAR TO INDIGENOUS FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY GROUPS WORKING TOWARD FRESH FOOD ACCESS, FOOD SECURITY, AND GARDENING AND AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION.

The SWIAA was formed to promote the future of agriculture on reservations. The founders included tribes and individual and non- farmers ranchers and businessmen. The harmony of man soil water vegetation and wildlife - our community - influence our emotional and spiritual well-being.
