Grant Description
Grants to USA swim lesson providers to offer free or low-cost swimming programs to youth from underserved backgrounds. Applicants must be preapproved as a provider prior to applying. The purpose of the program is to expand existing programming to reach underserved and underrepresented youth up to age 19, who would otherwise not have access to swim instruction.

The USA Swimming Foundation aims to provide the opportunity for every child in the U.S. to learn to swim. Through an annual grant program and by partnering with swim lesson providers and water safety advocates across the country, they help to support swimming lessons, and educate children and their families on the importance of learning how to swim.

USA Swimming Foundation Youth Learn to Swim Grants are intended to expand existing programming and support opportunities for children who otherwise would not participate in swimming lessons for the purpose of acquiring the life saving skill of swimming. Awarded funds may be used by the swim lesson program to offer free or reduced-cost swimming lessons and/or support transportation to/from the swim lesson location(s).
