Grant Description
Grants to USA nonprofit organizations and educational institutions for hands-on programs that teach young people about vehicle and boat restoration. Priority will be given to programs that focus on high school and college-age students. Funding is intended to teach the specialized skills and knowledge needed to maintain vintage cars, trucks, and boats.

The RPM Foundation supports the education and training of the next generation of vehicle restoration and preservation craftsmen and women. RPM safeguards the critical skills necessary to restore and preserve collector vehicles by supporting hands-on training and engaging the next generation.

The Foundation is concerned about the future and the fact that fewer young people are learning the trades and skills that will help preserve our heritage. To that end, the Foundation helps organizations that are dedicated to instructing and training the next generation to restore and preserve vintage cars, motorcycles and boats, as well as providing them with a pathway to careers.

Today, RPM funds educational programs on the pathway to careers in automotive, motorcycle and marine restoration & preservation. Funding almost always goes to educational institutions or organizations that offer restoration & preservation degree or certificate programs or courses. All grant awardees utilize collector vehicles, motorcycles or wooden boats as teaching tools and provide maximum opportunity for hands-on learning experiences with master craftsmen and artisans.
